An honest review.
I love Racer gloves and have several pairs! They fit me better than any other brand I've tried. This is my second pair of Mickey's. My old ones are almost 10 years old and very worn out as can be seen in the photo's.
The new version, in my opinion, is just not as "stout". The leather feels softer, more like a race car driving glove. They're comfortable, but I question the protection and longevity of use.
There seems to be smaller impact panels on the knuckles (photo 1, 2 and 3) as well less reinforced leather in the palm as seen in photo 2.
They otherwise seem to be well assembled and stitched. I will be keeping them and see how they hold up compared to the old set.

I have not had a chance to ride with these Gloves but they feel great and well made

Great lightweight glove perfect for summer. Lots of protection and looks great too.

Great customer service
I really like the Mickey gloves

Been my warm weather gloves for the last 5-6years.My 2nd set of Mickey’s. Seems like the new ones had some material changes. Hopefully for the better since the original ones blew out the sides of the fingers. Material was not leather. My original pair still were in decent shape but the next size up was needed

Ordered the guide gloves in a 3XL. I do have large hands and pretty much no other brand runs true to their advertising. These guides, although a little tight, will I’m sure break in and be fine. My long fingers actually fit in them. Decided to order their Mickey glove for warmer temps. These things fit me perfectly right out of the bag. Super comfy.
James K.
I have large hands and am extremely hard to fit. I ordered the guide gloves in a 3XL and still waiting for them to break in. Haven’t had them that long. Decided to order the Mickey for warmer weather. They seem to rung a bit larger but I’m pleasantly surprised. THEY FIT. No break in will be needed. I’ll add another comment after I get some miles on them.

Gloves fit great! Second pair I’ve purchased… wore the first pair out. They are definitely my “go-to” glove for warm weather riding..
Woods H.
Haven't gone down with them on yet, so I don't know thew most important thing about them yet. They are comfortable, and they look great, time will tell how protective they are.
Ken C.
Nice features with excellent protection and good comfort and they fit my hands perfectly.
Kirk R.
Outstanding quality, fit and feel on these gloves! Fast delivery and good follow-up an added bonus. I'll be buying all my gloves here from now on.
Ed T.
The Mickey glove is well made and very comfortable. I will probably reorder these when necessary and look at a pair of cold weather gloves from Racer as the season changes.

Top quality, acurate fit.

2nd pair! The Mickey's have been my go to glove for just about every type of riding. Sport, Travel, Race, and even dual sport riding. They have kept my hands protected through numerous tip overs and a few slides and have held up extremely well. First pair purchased in 2016 and lasted until 2022 with more than 40k miles on them. New pair first just as good as the last and cant wait to get them broken in and ready for another 6 years (or more!)
Kenneth W.
I ordered this pair of gloves after a favorable mention in Road Runner magazine.
I’ve used them on short trips around home and now on a last minute excursion to the Black Hill.
Long term comfort including fit, workmanship, and ventilation were satisfactory when the amount of protection they offer is taken into consideration.

Referred by a friend - I have large thick hands and the 3x just fit. They are stretching fortunately. I like the palm bump. All in all, worth the price.
Patrick S.
I use this glove when the weather is very hot. The glove fits excellent and is very lightweight to wear but provides maximum protection.
Like all the Racer Gloves the quality of construction is top shelf, and they wear like iron.
Fitment excellent, warm weather look out, style is awesome, what can I say these gloves are always in my to go bag.
If you ride in very warm weather I would highly recommend protecting your hands with these gloves. These gloves are atvpt.com approved.

These gloves feel great! Racer Gloves’ slogan is, “The Best Fitting Gloves You Can Buy.” and I agree with that. I’ve been riding with a pair of Racer gloves for the past couple of years, now on my second pair because I just can’t find another pair of gloves that fit so well, while still providing great protection. Racer Gloves is a great company that provides an excellent product. You won’t be disappointed.

They were amazing! The redesign is a step down, though.
Racer Mickeys were my first gloves back in 2014 (yeah, came to riding late!) but in the six years following, despite buying different ones here and there, they were the ones I always went back to. Felt broken-in from day one, ultra comfortable, tons of protection, and touchscreen compatible. Alas I had a wee lowside, and while my hands were completely perfect (testimony to the protection) I felt the need to replace them. Ordered a new pair, and the quality has dropped considerably. They feel thinner and flimsier, tighter overall, and the touchscreen compatibility is gone. (Yeah, there's anyglove, but not the same as having it integrated)
It's a shame. I'm sure I'll "get used to them" but while the originals were five stars all the way, the new ones are three at best.

The Absolute Best!
I'm now on my third pair, second pair was an upgrade from gen one. The last pair saved my hands after looping my bike and sliding down the asphalt!! The best fitting gloves I've ever had, I also have a pair of the Racer Multi Top 2 I use for winter. Next on my list is the Racer "High Racer Glove" for track days. I'll never go back to any other brand!

Mickey Gloves
I originally ordered a pair of XXL gloves. Palm measurement 9.5" around, and finger length 8" long. Based on the size chart I should have ordered n XL, but I figured I'd go one size up. The XXL fit but more snug than I liked, so I ordered an XXXL and they fit great. Perfect finger length, and not too tight around my palm. Overall I'm happy with the gloves. Perfect for summer riding. Vented, and comfortable. Leather isn't really thick, but appears to be thick enough to protect your hands. I have been wearing a pair of Scorpion SGS leather gloves, and they have a heavier leather than the Mickey's for comparison purposes. I ended up keeping the XXL and gave them to my son-in law who also likes them.

Great gloves
Just get them. Use the sizing chart, measure your hand and buy them. I debated for a while and wish I hadnt. Great addition.

Wish I bought sooner!!!
Great fitting glove from the first time out it on. Awesome protection and built with quality. 100% satisfied w my Mickey glove, now I just wish there were more mesh ADV hot weather options ;)

Mickey Glove
These gloves are super nice. I went with the size chart recommendation and the fit is spot on. I enjoy wearing these gloves a little but more each time I wear them. Protection is A #1, but I also like to dress for success - even when I'm riding. These gloves allow me to do just that. Thanks!

The best street glove you could ever spend your money on
When I purchased my first motorcycle, I bought a cheap pair from a competing company of short-cuff gloves. They had decent reviews, were pretty inexpensive compared to a lot of the other gloves out there, and had the best protection for the money.
Boy was the quality terrible.
Then I was reading an article by Sean McDonald at CycleWorld. He (and a couple other journos) were wearing Racer Gloves, so I decided to pop on over here and check them out.
I e-mailed about sizing since I have weird hands, and I got a reply from Lee himself who helped me pick out the right size. I ordered a pair of Mickey's, since I wanted a short-cuff glove for the street, and I have never looked back, and never will look back at any other glove maker.
Mickey's are the perfect every-day glove. They over insane protection, are quality made far above what you pay for, and are the most comfortable glove ever. The point of wearing good gear is that it protects you, and you forget that you're wearing it, right? I essentially completely forget that I'm wearing gloves until I go to take my helmet off, and 50% of the time, I start doing it without taking my gloves off, because they're just so comfortable, they feel like an extension of my body.
I also feel like they will last me forever, but I can't wait to purchase new ones again further down the line just to help support this fantastic company and have more fantastic gloves.

Best Ever
I have no idea why I waited so long to add these gloves to my collection. I have a set of R-Safe Gloves with over 20k on them and love them....except when I just wanna run errands or am taking photos. They are a pain to take on and off. Enter the Mickys. I received them on Friday and took them straight out of the box and rode 1500 miles in rain and wind and sun and cold. No blisters. No weird rubbing. Just awesome fitting gloves. These are now my go to glove. They feel just as safe in the palm as my R-Safe and have the neat and unexpected feature that they work with my iPhone! Thanks for all the help Lee. There wont be any other brand of gloves Ill ride with.

Love my Mickey Gloves!
I have had them about three months now and they get more comfortable every day.
Highly recommended!

Awesome gloves
This is a fantastic all around glove. Fit is everything with a glove - I measured a Large on the chart and that's what I ordered. They are slightly snug getting in but once on they're really nice. Finger length is spot on and the rest of the glove hugs my hand. I'm very pleased with the knuckle and palm armor as well. It allows for full range of movement plus legitimate protection. The armor is also padded on the underside, making for an even more comfortable fit. Build quality and finishing touches are excellent out of the package as well. On my Tiger 800 with handguards, these are a 3 season glove. I feel that airflow is adequate but the handguards do help regulate that. Very happy with my Racers

Great glove
The absolute perfect glove for supermoto. I ended up having a low side the first day out with these gloves and they performed exceptionally well. The palm sliders saved me from some serious road rash although the soft palm material did end up ripping open slightly, overall serious injury was completely avoided. The gloves fit true to size and are completely comfortable right out of the package. Overall great product.

Great summer short cuff
These gloves are great. It's got all the safety features and they provide great airflow. They don't fit quite as well as my other Racer gloves but they're still new so I'm thinking that will improve over time. I'd buy these again.

Awesome Hot Weather Glove
These gloves flow air! The gusseted fingers let air flow freely between the fingers while the perforated back allows air to exit. My hands stay cool and dry on hot days and long drives.
Even though the gloves are comfortable and feature excellent control feel, they do not skimp on protection. Armor protects knuckles and palms along with reinforced leather and padding in critical spots. Nice to enjoy comfort without sacrificing full hand protection. These blow away my previous Klim induction and Alpinestar Air gloves.

Mickey Glove
I have struggled with gloves for years and years but now .... No more! Quite often I have to check if I actually have gloves on and when I look down ... There they are .... keeping me safe and sound. Love them. Thanks from all the way down here in Australia. Keep safe.

Great glove !
I read many reviews of the Mickey and read about the tight fit. Called Racer and Lee helped me figure out which is best size to go with. Out of the bag they fit great and yes, a bit tight getting in and out but the fit and protection is well worth a bit of tight in/out. Highly recommend the Mickey and Racer in general. Lee does a great job helping.

Great gloves and service
Mickey gloves are very comfortable and the high quality is apparent. They fit and feel great. I'm super happy with my purchase and will buy Racer gloves again in the future.

Mickey Gloves
I upgraded my short cuff glove in price from a Scorpion glove. The Mickey's are good gloves. The sizing chart said I was an XL, that's what I ordered and they are a little too long in the fingers. Quality and finish seem good, good air flow. I prefer the leather closure tab on the bottom, less likely to get snagged.

Quality golves
The Mickey gloves are very well made, agile and comfortable.
Made with the most modern materials. Many protective features. If your hands warm up just splay your fingers and you get a blast of air to cool. Fingers together and plenty warm. The Mickey gloves are tight getting over the wrist at first but open up with use. This is the 2nd style of Racer gloves I have purchased. Fine products.
JG
great gloves
Everything I have discovered about these was as previously written. Love the fit. When hot, they can be tough to remove, but no big deal. Great protection and comfort, and they are more comfortable and vent air much better than I expected. They are great for warm weather.

Great Glove For Warm Weather
I have had these gloves for over a year, and like others have said they are a bit difficult to put on, but the tight opening stretches a bit over time. Well made.. I haven't had any problems with quality. Probably the only feature I can find to grumble about is that the velcro secures over the back of the wrist, right where the velcro of my textile Olympia jacket sleeves like to be. They get tangled pretty easy, especially if I am putting them on in the dark. Having the velcro on the bottom would work much better. I also wear a leather Langlitz jacket with only zippers on the sleeves, and have no problems with the Mickeys then. I live in Hawaii, where the temperature extremes near sea level range from the low 50's to the low '90's..and humid. I have found that these gloves are most comfortable between 65 and 90 degrees (17-33 Celsius)

Orthopaedic Surgeon Says Yes!
As a surgeon I worry about my hands whenever I ride. These Mickey gloves are some of the best engineered gloves I've found.
Riding is fun and inherently dangerous. I try to surround myself by the best gear to reduce my risk of serious injury. These Mickey gloves are on my list and I now won't leave the house on the bike without them.

I love Mickey :)
I never had better gloves... and I really had a lot before.
All criteria are in the right place: Quality, functionality, safety, fit, and design. 5 stars from a pro rider!

Good fit but issues
I thought I put them on the first time because something was scratching the underside of my wrist. Taking a look, I noticed the velcro wrist closure was not protected and any part not overlapping, was causing quite a bit of discomfort. This is disappointing and I will have to figure out how to protect my wrist from this. Otherwise the glove is obviously a quality product.

excellent fit and quality feel
Very comfy, fit according to sizing chart was dead on.
Protection seems great (no crash test yet!). Feels quality and well thought out.
Biggest complaint is getting hand is wrist opening is a little tight when putting gloves on, but the upside of this is the glove is not likely to be pulled off.

Great fit and quality
They really do fit amazing. My previous favorite glove has been Dianese, but now it is Racer. I followed the size chart and it is spot on. Feels thick and protective, yet still gives excellent grip feel and control. Good mobility. High tech materials and safety features. Like the palm slider, and hope I never have to use it. Breathable yet good wind protection. 1st rate quality construction. Shipping was amazingly fast as well!!

Great gloves, great price.
For the price, the protection these gloves offer is hard to beat. The fit is also excellent. I found the thumb to be a little long for me when i first got the gloves, but after break in, they seem to have settled in to be about perfect.
These gloves are tough to get on and off because of the wrist opening being fairly tight and well fitted. So keep that in mind if its important to you. However, this also means these gloves wont fly of your hands if you wreck.
They vent pretty well in high heat, and offer excellent grip and tactile sensation. The only area of these gloves that haven't performed excellently are the silicone grip triangles in the fingers and palm. My first experience with these gloves was on a 1400 mile, 5 day trip and afterwards I noticed I was missing many of these grip triangles due to wear. That seemed a little quick to me for the gloves to have those fall off.
That said, it didn't seem to affect the grip of the gloves at all and is literally the only issue I've run into. I would buy these again for sure and recommend them to anyone looking for gloves with a high quality fit, high quality protection, and a price that's hard to beat.

Fit is a little different but keep at it
I give the Mickey 4 stars only because I have the High Racer and that's the finest glove I've ever owned and should stay at the top with 5 stars. The Mickey is a different fit, tight in, tight off, but once it's on it really feels like a batting or driving glove. Just different, but still excellent.
Dave
Fits like a glove (seriously)
I am typically a size M in male sizing, and based on the reviews decided to order a L. The fit was perfect for me. The construction is extremely high quality and the gloves actually offers real protection, as opposed to alot of other short gloves out there.

Mickey Gloves
We like to use the right bit of gear for the job and when it comes to streetbike gloves, weve had the opportunity to use quite a few lately. From long gauntlet gloves to short moto-x/supermoto style, the styles and quality of gloves available for the streetbike rider are extensive.
One player in the field thats been getting some buzz lately is Racer Gloves USA, and they offer three ranges of high quality gloves
Racer, Sport and Winter. Racer Gloves USA is the exclusive US Importer and Distributor for Austrian motorcycle apparel brand Racer Outdoor GmbH.
Racer Gloves USA is the culmination of years in the motorcycle and apparel industries for company founder Lee Block, a lifelong motorcyclist. A former Loudon, New Hampshire road racer in the late 1980?s and early 1990?s, Lee has raced a variety of motorcycles at racetracks across the country.
Weve spoken at length with Lee and hes very plugged into the business and has a damn good idea of what riders and racers want and what they need when danger looms.
One offering that we liked quite a bit in the Sport category was the Mickey glove, a supermoto style short gauntlet street glove with a European streetfighter attitude. Its a very lightweight glove, made from premium ingredients like Clarino, Teramid and Super-Fabric (Super-Fabric is created with a base fabric and is overlaid with tiny, hard guard plates in a specific pattern, creating incredible abrasion and cut resistance).
Having ridden daily in the UK in a past life, I can say that Europeans in general take this whole motorcycling thing very seriously and go more for function than flash, and the Racer Gloves range reflects that mantra. Hence this, the Mickey gloves come in any color you wantas long as its blackwhich matches everything.
When sliding these gloves on the first thing you notice is the weight. The are super light and initially that almost feels a bit weird. The Mickey gloves are one of those gloves that are a tight fit at first, but once you have them on its like a second skin, and the lightweight chassis of the glove does a great job of imparting some sense of protect, albeit the light weight.
Once on and riding, the gloves are invisible. Although the glove does offer what youd expect in any street glove like armor on the knuckles and palm, it does it in such a way that these features are very unobtrusive during the operation. One tester here felt the palm slider got it the way a bit, but that view wasnt shared among the staff at large. We also liked the silicone overlay on the fingers, which is a nod to a pure motocross-type glove, and adds a small measure of control at the levers.
The gloves are just as stubborn coming off as they were putting on but this was a small price to pay for the enhanced feel of the glove and it got better with time. Many reviews on the web from users mention the fact that the gloves take a bit of time and use before they break-in perfectly and we expect our pair to be no different.
In conclusion, the Mickey glove offers a great alternative for riders looking for a high quality, high performance lightweight glove when riding. We used the Mickey glove when riding all types of bikes, from the requisite sportbike to the occasional cruiser and the subtle design worked with all types of gear and bike setups.
We wouldnt recommend the Mickey glove for cold weather ridingbut when its warm these gloves are the bomb, highly recommended and a great addition to any riders apparel selection.

a fine glove
This is solid middle weight, short glove that I expect to cover 80% of my riding. It's well constructed and has been comfortable from the first ride, probably due to the pre-curved fingers. Though not vented it let's air flow up my open sleeves. Customer service at Racer is tops; they will make it right.

Function mixes with fashion
Really love the look of the sporty yet subtle Mickey glove! The flex panels, the precurved fingers, the grip on the palm. Everything about the glove is really well done! If i had to think of anything to maybe refine, It would be the palm slider. For a street every day glove, it might be a little too race oriented. Initial ride in them I was aware of its presence on an upright riding position bike like my FZ09. However after a few miles it became less noticeable. I would highly recommend these gloves over any of the other minimalistic short gloves a lot of brands put out which offer little to no real protection.
JKBlaq
Great protection and light weight
Pros:
Great fit already broken in feel, I needed a XL, large was too tight.
Lots of venting for warm weathrweather riding (not for the cold)
Superfiber knuckles and palm slider
Very light weight gloves
Cons:
You can feel the sewn seams inside
Thin materials in the middle palm, feels like it may not be as durable as it could be.
Customer service was top notch!

Nice fit
I was right between a medium and large glove, depending on how tight I pulled the tape when taking measurements. I went with the large and am glad I did. The gloves are very snug and form fitting. The quality is very high and am very pleased with the gloves.

Very solid glove with good airflow and high protection
I went with the size chart and got a small. It's a little difficult to get the gloves on and for some reason the left glove's opening seems smaller so it takes even more effort to get the glove on (either that or my left hand is bigger) but once the gloves are on, the fitment is great and very comfortable. I opted not to get a bigger size in hopes that after some wear these gloves will be a little easier to get on.
Airflow is very good and the protection is in all the right places.
Shipping was amazingly fast.

Great fit, high quality
I was in the market for new gloves when I read an article about different types of recommended gear. I saw these available for not much more than what I was considering getting so I decided to give it a try. The quality of these gloves are so much better and only ~$40 more. The stitching and materials inspire confidence in the event of a fall, with plenty of padding for the palm and knuckle protectors. The fit is exactly as stated in the sizing chart and they are extremely comfortable. I also like how these gloves don't look flashy / gaudy. Definitely recommend these.
These things shipped out quickly, too. I received them next day!

Definitely a Keeper!
I first heard about the Racer Mickey glove from Wes Siler over at RideApart, then after reading the review over at webbikeworld, decided to try it out for myself. I was in the market for a high-protection summer glove and the Mickey looked like it would fit the bill. There are a couple cons but these gloves are ultimately a keeper in my book.
Cons: I'm concerned about the Clarino used on the palm and on the fingers. It reminds me of the fabric on a pair of Alpinestars SMX-3 gloves I had which developed a hole near my right thumb after about 5 months of use. Also, just as indicated on the webbikeworld review, the palms aren't lined or ventilated in a way to deal with lots of sweat/moisture which can make the gloves sticky and hard to take off.
Pros: They aren't lying when they say this is a great-fitting glove. Use the manufacturer provided size chart and you should be golden. These gloves require near 0 break-in and do not impede movement of the fingers at all. The super fabric covered armor is just the right size and in the right place and (the palm slider especially) inspires confidence. While durability and fit are important to me, protection is probably the most important thing and after one test fit I knew I was going to keep these gloves. Recommended!
Greg S.
Great fit, moves well with the hand.
Nice glove, quality that rivals higher priced gloves. A little tight putting on but once they are on its like no other glove I have worn. Great protection without being bulky. True to size I wear a large in gloves and the large was perfect fit

Flat-out better
I have been looking for a warm-weather glove with more protection than the BMW offroad-style gloves I have worn for years. Along the way, I tried, and rejected, Held Agadir and REV'IT Monster gloves--they both had funky fit and sizing. Then I tried the Mickey gloves, and the search is over. They are flat-out better, in all ways, than what I've been wearing: better fit, more comfortable, better looking, with more protective features, and most astonishing, better ventilation. Can't say I'm thrillrd that they are made in China, and labeled "Do not wash or dry clean," but neither is a deal-breaker. Well done, RACER!
Andy
Another excellent glove from an excellent glove manufacturer
I have been wearing this glove for the past month and am in love with it. Superb fit. Excellent dexterity. Good feel on the controls. THIS GLOVE NEEDS TO BREAK IN, THEY FIT SMALL AT FIRST BUT THEN BREAK IN PERFECTLY. I use them around town, on long trips and even tried them in the dirt. I have had the Sicuro for several years and love them. I am sure I will feel the same way about the Mickey in several years time. Good job RACER on another exceptional glove
